A small skipper with a wingspan of 22-26 mm, resembles the large grizzled but has white markings and greenish undersides. The Pogge’s lives in steppe, semi-desert, and on grassy slopes. The host plant associated with this species is Kurdish phlomis (Phlomis kurdica). This butterfly flies May through July.
