Syrian sprite

Pseudagrion syriacum

A smaller damselfly with a body length of 36-40 mm and a hindwing length of 20-21 mm. The sprite lives in slow-flowing water such as streams, rivers, springs, and irrigation ditches, and is associated with mints (Mentha spp.). This endemic species flies May through September, flying close to the water and often overlooked.
