Anax ephippiger
A large dragonfly with a body length of 61-70 mm and a hindwing length of 43-48 mm, distinguished by its brown eyes, olivaceous-brown thorax, ochreous abdomen with azure-blue and reddish-brown markings, and transparent wings. This dragonfly lives in warm shallow ponds and temporary pools bordered by rushes, as well as springs, lakes, marshes, and swamps. The vagrant flies May through August.
