A small skipper with a wingspan of 20-25 mm, differs from other species by being smaller and lighter, of a light brown colour with creamy-grey spots. The Anatolian inhabits waste ground, evergreen woodland, alpine meadows, forest clearings, and stony slopes. The host plants associated with this species are phlomis (Phlomis spp.). This species flies June through August, and is considered endangered.
