Cedar Mountain blue

Polyommatus ellisoni ellisoni

Another of the small blues with a wingspan of 25-35 mm, males are a bright silvery-blue while females are silvery-brown. The Cedar Mountain lives high up in the mountains, in thickets, ravines, and on stony slopes. This butterfly flies in the months of June and July.
