Common bluetail

Ischnura elegans

A small damselfly with a body length of 30-35 mm and a hindwing length of 14-20 mm, typically blue, green, and black in colour. Also called the “blue-tailed damselfly,” the common lives in standing or slow-flowing water, as well as brackish water. This species flies April through October.
