Anthocharis damone syra

A smaller orange-tip with a wingspan of 30-40 mm, resembles the orange-tip but males have yellow instead of white wings. The eastern lives in a diverse array of habitats, including coastal dunes, scrub, maquis, meadows, grasslands, and stony hillsides. The host plant in Lebanon that this butterfly is most frequently associated with is woad (Isatis tinctoria). This species flies in the months of April and May.
