Euchloe charlonia charlonia

A small greenish-yellow butterfly with a wingspan of 32-36 mm, characterised by black patches on the forewings. The greenish black-tip lives mainly at lower altitudes, in drier places such as steppe, semi-desert, grassland, and along the coastline. Host plants include members of the mustard family, such as cress-rocket (Carrichtera annua), rocket-salad (Eruca vesicaria), and radishes (Raphanus spp.). The butterfly flies February through October, the flight is fast and continuous. This species is considered vulnerable.
