Polyommatus syriacus syriacus
A small blue with a wingspan of 30 mm, males are a sky blue with violet patches while females are brown with orange crescent-shaped markings. The Lebanese Adonis lives in the mountains, on cliffs, stony slopes, and peaks. The host plants associated with this butterfly are crown-vetches (Coronilla spp.). This butterfly flies May through August.
