Oleander hawkmoth

Daphnis nerii

One of the larger hawkmoths with a wingspan of 90-100 mm. The oleander favours riversides and scrub. As the name suggests, the major host plant is oleander (Nerium oleander). This moth flies June through September, is nocturnal and migratory.
