Spialia osthelderi osthelderi

A skipper with a wingspan of 26-28 mm, resembles the Kiki’s but lighter with reddish-brown colouration and conspicuous white markings. The Osthelder’s lives along riversides, in dry steppe and semi-desert, and on stony mountain slopes. The host plants associated with this species are bindweeds (Convolvulus spp.). This butterfly flies in the months of April and May and is considered critically endangered.
